Focus on Quality: Californians' Views on Teachers and Teaching (Report)
Description
A 2002 statewide public opinion survey highlights the priorities of Californians, their attitudes about spending on education, their opinions about key issues such as teacher qualifications, and the steps the state should take to improve its public education system.
Survey findings are presented in this report. One key finding shows Californians believe that education is the top priority for the state to address, and that the public supports spending more—not less—on improving public education.
The survey was conducted by Belden Russonello & Stewart for the Center for the Future of Teaching and Learning at WestEd.
