REL West Research Digest: December 2013
Description
Student achievement in mathematics is the focus of this issue of the REL West Research Digest.
This issue examines what districts in the Silicon Valley Research Alliance are doing to improve the chances that secondary school students will complete college-preparatory math classes; and recommends resources highlighting the importance of tracking mathematics performance from 6th through 8th grade.
Also included in this issue is a summary of several events in Fall 2013 that brought together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to address strategies for improving student achievement.
