What You Will Learn

Through Pepper — developed by WestEd in partnership with PCG Education — teachers and administrators join a vibrant, growing, online network of educators dedicated to effective implementation of the Common Core.

Pepper professional learning courses span K-12 and cover core subject areas and topics, including:

  • English Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Writing and Poetry
  • Assessment and Reporting
  • Digital Citizenship
  • English Language Learners
  • Leadership
  • Special Education

There are 22 full-length Pepper courses, each designed to provide 10 hours of learning that includes offline practice and application.

In addition, there are 24 Pepper Online Workshops, which are minicourses, each designed to provide 1 hour of learning time. There is no specific required sequence in which to take the courses, which are designed for people to be able to start where they want and go where they want.

Pepper makes a difference in how and when teachers and administrators learn, through a manageable online community that helps them navigate the Common Core standards and assessments.

The Pepper online environment supports collaborative learning among peers, creation of online portfolios and journals, and discussion forums to connect teachers from across the country.

Cost

Pepper is offered through an annual per-teacher license fee.
