WestEd Will Lead Mathematics Framework Update for the Nation’s Report Card
Posted on
WestEd is excited to announce a leadership role in the mathematics framework update for the Nation’s Report Card, also known as the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).
NAEP measures the academic achievement of elementary and secondary students through assessments in reading, mathematics, science, writing, and other subjects. The information collected provides a snapshot of the state of education in United States.
In this new role, WestEd will assist NAEP’s Governing Board in convening a panel of subject-matter experts, practitioners, and members of the general public to develop recommendations for the update. The process will be followed by a collection of public comment.
The updates will be completed in Fall 2019 and reflected in the 2025 NAEP Reading and Mathematics Report Cards.
Previously, WestEd conducted the framework development process for the NAEP Technology and Engineering Literacy Framework in 2008-2009.
