New Online Tool Allows Educators to Visualize and Explore Assessment Data
Developed by the Center on Standards & Assessment Implementation, the Assessment System Visualizer (ASV) is an online interactive tool that creates data visualizations of state-, district-, or classroom-level assessment system information. Schools and districts can use the visualizations to pinpoint patterns and make decisions about how to improve them.
The ASV is designed to:
- Help answer questions about the characteristics of individual assessments and assessment systems
- Allow users to group assessments by different variables (e.g., grade or student population) to illustrate how assessments are distributed
- Illuminate patterns that show how balanced, comprehensive, or broadly or narrowly focused an assessment system is
