English Language Learners and the New Standards presents a clear vision and practical suggestions for helping teachers engage English language learner students in simultaneously learning subject-area content, analytical practices, and language.

Learn more in person from WestEd authors Margaret Heritage, Aída Walqui, and Robert Linquanti, who will explain the theories and research that underlie their vision and examine the role of policy in shaping pedagogy and assessment for English language learner students.

At WestEd, Heritage is a Senior Scientist, Walqui serves as Director of the Teacher Professional Development Program, and Linquanti is Project Director and Senior Researcher.
