As implementation of the Common Core State Standards moves forward, persistent achievement gaps among different racial, ethnic, and economic groups remain a significant concern.

In this webinar, representatives of the nation’s Regional Equity Assistance Centers (EACs) will discuss how to identify and address equity issues to ensure that no student is denied the opportunities presented by the new standards.

Webinar Highlights

  • Articulating the six equity goals for Common Core implementation generated by the 10 EACs
  • Identifying Great Public Schools Indicators that support the equitable implementation of the Common Core State Standards
  • Using key questions and recommendations from the EACs to inform union leadership and participation in discussions about achievement gaps and Common Core implementation

Rose Owens-West, Director of WestEd’s WestEd’s Region IX EAC, will be among the presenters at this webinar, hosted by the National Education Association Education Policy and Practice Department.
