10 Years: Reflecting On the Movement to Transform Math Education

Carnegie Math Pathways - Students

Date: Tuesday, January 26
Time: 12 p.m. (Pacific) / 3 p.m. (Eastern)

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Carnegie Math Pathways, a network of faculty members, researchers, designers, students, and content experts committed to increasing student success in developmental mathematics and overall college and career outcomes.

Over the last decade, we’ve seen the inequitable system of remedial math disrupted by the development and adoption of math pathways and corequisite courses. We’ve witnessed guided pathways usher in a student-centered approach to institutional design and operations.

Join us for a conversation with Carnegie Math Pathways Executive Director Karon Klipple, National Center for Inquiry and Improvement Founder and President Rob Johnstone, and Community College Research Center Senior Research Scholar Davis Jenkins as they reflect on the evolution of institutional transformation and the pivotal role of Carnegie’s community of educators in this nationwide movement toward math pathways that are helping more students than ever succeed. They’ll share highlights from this decade of work and their ideas about opportunities and challenges ahead.
