Overview

Edgar Lin joins WestEd with over 25 years of experience teaching, leading, and learning in urban schools as a teacher, professional development specialist, assistant principal, and principal. Leveraging the Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement as the framework for continuous improvement, Lin partners with district and school leaders to create and/or refine their visions for student learning and roadmaps for their unique school improvement journeys.

The Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement has been adopted by states, districts, and schools as the researched-based foundation for addressing continuous improvement in schools and districts focusing on turnaround leadership, talent development, rigorous instruction, and culture shift.

Starting with himself, Lin works to build individual, team, and systemic and structural capacities toward a common mission and vision for teaching and learning so that “Kids will LEARN because of what WE do!” Lin has led successful school improvement and turnaround efforts in some of New York City’s most underserved schools. His work with WestEd will leverage those experiences to work together with district and school leaders to hone their supervision with the application of the Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement to support continuous improvement efforts that ensure high-level learning for all.
