Advancing Economic Mobility in Rural and Tribal Communities

Explore how WestEd and Nevadaworks are transforming workforce development in northern Nevada through the Good Jobs Northern Nevada initiative. This session highlights strategies to improve economic mobility for rural and tribal communities, including sector-based career pathway planning, regional career navigators, and adult education integration. Learn how this systems-change effort, funded by the Good Jobs Challenge, engages partners to expand access and opportunity for adult learners across 13 counties and 22 Native Nations.
Specifically, the panel will review interventions about four elements:
- Labor market analysis and sector-based career pathway planning,
- essential factors for sector partnerships,
- regional and tribal career navigators, and
- adult education/WIOA Title II pathways.
