Build Support for Professional Learning at Your School or District
By combining social-emotional learning with academic literacy routines, Reading Apprenticeship classrooms for middle and high school students become environments for collaborative problem solving.
Participate in our professional development and you will learn how to:
- Integrate and accelerate students’ subject area learning and literacy; model reading strategies you use as an expert reader
- Engage students in understanding of their own thinking processes — embracing the power of metacognition for deep, generative learning
- Foster learner dispositions of persistence, stamina, problem solving, and collaboration
ESSA “Strong” Evidence-Based Model
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) recognizes four levels of evidence. The top three levels require findings of a statistically significant effect on improving student outcomes or other relevant outcomes.
