Overview

Kelly Wynveen has more than 10 years of experience working in education leading projects, providing technical assistance, and developing resources to serve state, regional, and local education agencies. As a Senior Project Manager, Wynveen has expertise in scoping, managing, and reporting on project plans, budgets, and schedules to support state education agencies with corrective-action planning, accountability, interest holder engagement, and systems change.

Wynveen has led projects that support state and regional educational leaders in addressing federal compliance issues, revising accountability systems, supporting high-quality charter school authorizing, and conducting authentic community engagement.   

Before joining WestEd, Wynveen served as a Senior Field Consultant for the Colorado Department of Education, offering technical assistance and support to more than 250 public charter schools across the state. She began her career in education as a classroom teacher and leverages this experience to ensure that the support and expertise she provides supports educational leaders in ensuring all students have access to a high-quality public school.
