Dual enrollment, which enables students to take college courses while still in high school, is a proven approach for increasing postsecondary access and success. Although dual enrollment is widespread, many sites offer “random acts of dual enrollment” rather than being strategic in helping students meet critical milestones in completing certificates or degrees.   

Dual enrollment math is an underutilized strategy that can have huge benefits. It can  

  • increase the number of students who go to college,  
  • improve their chances of success, and  
  • make it easier for them to earn credentials aligned with their goals and opportunities.
