State educational agency (SEA) leaders are under increasing pressure to provide effective guidance, successfully implement federal and state education legislation, and support improved student achievement. However, most leaders lack role-alike peers within their states to turn to for job-specific advice and support.
Purpose
The SEA Leadership Network from WestEd will bring together leaders from across the country for role-alike convenings, conversations, sharing, and learning.
The convenings will be opportunities for SEA leaders to connect with each other. They will learn about new resources and approaches and develop solutions to common challenges.
Audiences Served
The SEA Leadership Network will support leaders and state staff focused on improving outcomes across several domains, including school improvement, accountability systems, literacy, and more.
The Network is free and open to superintendents, federal programs directors, specialists, coordinators, and other leaders working to improve statewide teaching, learning, and systems.
