Participants will learn a five-step process for using research and local data to identify, monitor and enhance teacher working conditions.
REL Northwest is using this process to support Alaska’s Lower Kuskokwim School District in boosting teacher retention. The factsheet Addressing Working Conditions to Improve Teacher Retention: An Exploration of the Research describes eight categories that may influence a teacher’s decision to stay or leave.
