Research show that children who attend high quality preschool programs are more successful in school; have lower drop out rates, and they are better readers. The California Department of Education (CDE), Child Development Division (CDD) has established the Desired Results System to improve program quality in early care and education programs across the state.

This website offers a wide variety of downloadable tools and resources for teachers, administrators, trainers, and families to support the achievement of these goals for California's children.
