WestEd’s Martin Orland and Ellen Mandinach will present at the National Forum on Education Statistics on Tuesday July 7, 2015, in Washington, DC.

Orland, Mandinach, along with Karen King from the National Science Foundation, will present on “An Exploration of the Alignment of Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems Infrastructure and Data Highway to Relevant Success Indicators in Mathematics and Science.”

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES),  housed within the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences, is sponsoring the Forum which is a membership meeting.

Mandinach will present at the related NCES STATS-DC Data Conference preceding the National Forum. Mandinach—joined by Jessica Mislevy, Rolf Blank, and Ardize Hartry—will present on “Identifying Feasible Approaches for Measuring K–12 STEM Education Indicators at Multiple System Levels” on Thursday, July 9, 2015.

Orland serves as Senior Program Director of Evaluation and Policy Research at WestEd. Mandinach is a Senior Research Scientist and Director of the Data for Decisions Initiative at WestEd.
