The Richmond Fund for Children and Youth invested $9.1 million across 56 programs operated by 46 organizations from fiscal years 2021 to 2024. These programs served children and youth in Richmond, California, reaching over 58,000 youth encounters at approximately 120 sites, with a focus on high-need neighborhoods and schools. This WestEd evaluation assesses their first three funding cycles spanning 2021–24.

Funded programs addressed behavioral health, education and employment, out-of-school enrichment, violence prevention, basic needs, and case management. The evaluation found strong participant satisfaction, a sense of belonging, and gains in leadership, life, and career skills, alongside various challenges.
