Join Beginning Together in March and become a certified Inclusion Facilitator. Beginning Together is hosting a virtual Institute with Training-of-Trainers sessions, offered as a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities. The cost of the Institute is $300 per person, which includes materials. Applicants will be screened and accepted with attention to geographic representation and commitment to train.
What You Will Learn
The institute is designed to support small teams of trainers with expertise and experience supporting inclusive practice from counties or regions. Participants will be provided with tools and resources to increase teachers’ confidence and competence in inclusive practice for all young children.
The Institute will also include a framework for guiding communities to move forward with a solid plan for increasing inclusive options for children ages birth through kindergarten. Additional online activities will be offered each week to be completed on your own timeline. The asynchronous activities will require between 2–4 hours of time each week.
Participants in the Institute will have the opportunity to earn an Inclusion Facilitator Certificate after attending the Institute and the ability to provide future training and/or facilitation in their community.
Who Should Attend?
- Those who train early childhood staff (teachers, assistants) on the benefits and basics of inclusive practice.
- Teams should include general early childhood administrators and teachers, special education administrators and teachers, early intervention specialists, family support staff, trainers, and coaches.
