WestEd’s Writing Apprenticeship institutes offer dynamic professional learning experiences for middle and high school English Language Arts and History/Social Studies educators. These in-person sessions are designed to improve the teaching of writing in the humanities through responsive, experiential learning and collaboration.
Participants will engage in full-day, hands-on sessions that foster community, model effective classroom strategies, and provide practical tools to support student writing. Whether attending individually or with a team, educators will leave with strengthened instructional practices and renewed confidence to support student success in writing.
