Robin Sayers

Sayers, a research associate with WestEd’s Literacy team, is a former elementary teacher with a passion for supporting educators and educational leaders. Sayers applies her content knowledge in literacy to conduct curriculum evaluations and to support state education agencies, the development of educational materials for teachers and families, and the professional learning of teachers. She is dedicated to ensuring that all students receive high-quality literacy instruction.  

Katie Grogan

Kathryn Grogan

Grogan directs WestEd’s Literacy Research and Evaluation team, a team that supports   state education agencies, local education agencies, and other partners to inform the development and implementation of literacy policy. Grogan currently directs a multiyear evaluation of Colorado’s READ Act, a statewide initiative to improve outcomes for striving readers. As a developmental psychologist and literacy researcher, she is committed to using data and evidence to support language and literacy development.
