As students continue to recover from pandemic-era learning disruptions, high-quality digital tools and targeted instructional supports are more critical than ever. This brief examines the impact of Zearn Math on academic achievement and growth among grades 4–6 students participating in Virginia’s Math High Impact Statewide Tutoring Program.
Key findings show that students who used Zearn Math more consistently, particularly those completing three or more lessons per week, demonstrated stronger math achievement and growth compared to similar peers with little or no use. These positive patterns held across grades 4–6 and the demographic subgroups examined. Notably, the largest differences emerged at higher levels of use, underscoring the importance of clear usage expectations and ongoing monitoring for effective statewide implementation.
