As a Senior Research Associate, Chun-Wei (Kevin) Huang works with other researchers to lead, design, and implement rigorous experimental trials as well as measurement and assessment projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education, National Science Foundation, and private foundations. He also works with research alliances formed by states or local education agencies to plan and conduct studies that evaluate statewide and districtwide policies in K–12 education.
Prior to joining WestEd, Chun-Wei worked at CTB/McGraw-Hill (now DRC/CTB) as a Research Scientist. He was involved in several projects that included two statewide testing programs. His main responsibilities as a Research Project Manager were to lead and conduct psychometric and statistical analyses. He has taught educational statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels while pursuing his doctoral degree.
Chun-Wei received a BS in psychology from Kaohsiung Medical University, an MA in psychology from the University of Missouri-KC, and a PhD in educational and psychological measurement and applied statistics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
