This 90-minute archived webinar, hosted by REL West and the Leading with Learning program at WestEd, addresses how teachers can build language- and vocabulary-rich classroom environments to support the language development of young students, with an emphasis on supporting students who are dual language learners. Using the Teaching and Learning Cycle (TLC) framework – which weaves together content, language, and literacy for optimal learning – presenters will share practical strategies for explicit vocabulary instruction.
