Anne Porterfield is a Senior Program Associate with Research-Practice Partnerships. She serves as both a project manager and qualitative researcher for projects and evaluations. Currently, Porterfield is working on the TRIO Data Analysis Task Order, the REL West Toolkit, an evaluation of the Air Tutors program, and an evaluation of Great Oaks Legacy Charter School. She also leads the Ask-an-Expert service for both REL West and REL Northwest.
Prior to joining WestEd, Porterfield worked at the Jacobs Institute for Innovation Research-Practice Partnershipsin Education, where she evaluated one-to-one technology initiatives, teacher recruitment and retention policies, and school-based health and wellness programs in large, urban school districts. She is a former elementary school teacher in Oakland, CA, and a Teach For America alumni.
Porterfield received a BA in political science and an MA in higher education leadership from the University of San Diego.
