Senior Research Associate Rebeca Diaz works on several school and district reform projects targeting low-performing schools.
Diaz is particularly interested in the impact of school reform on the academic experiences of ethnically and linguistically diverse and low socio-economic students. Her current projects include evaluations with the California Academic Partnership Program’s California High School Exit Exam project; the Teaching American History program; Smaller Learning Communities grant; and Comprehensive School Reform.
Diaz received a doctorate in education from the Graduate School of Education and Information Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. Previously, she attended the University of California at Davis where she majored in sociology.
