Public School State Snapshot: Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah
Description
These infographics contain easy-to-digest information about public education in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.
The four infographics are designed to provide context within and comparisons across states in the West region of the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) network.
Each infographic contains education data such as:
- Number of public schools
- Number of students
- Number of teachers
- Percentage of students eligible for free or reduced price lunch
- Percentage of students living in rural areas
For example, the state profiles convey that, on average, 50% of students in the REL West region are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. And high school graduation rates range from 71% (in Nevada) to 85% (in Utah).
Data for these infographics come from the National Center for Education Statistics and the U.S. Department of Education.
