Current Challenge

Every year, schools create ambitious improvement plans. Despite dedication, hard work, and the best intentions, many struggle to achieve their goals, which impacts their ability to support student needs. Transforming improvement plans and fulfilling objectives translates into meaningful successes that ensure every student thrives. 

Purpose

The Center for School Turnaround and Improvement (CSTI) partners with educational institutions to create sustainable, impactful change for continuous improvement and optimal student outcomes. It empowers schools, districts, and state agencies with urgent, actionable strategies to enhance student success.  

Rooted in The Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement, CSTI offers comprehensive resources and services to develop and implement evidence-based improvement plans, with a focus on Turnaround Leadership, Instructional Transformation, Talent Development, and Culture Shift. 

Audience Served

CSTI partners with state educational agencies, school district leaders, and school leaders to help them develop and implement systemic improvement plans so that all students can move forward with improved opportunities for a brighter future. 

Key Activities

CSTI provides research-informed tools, resources, and strategies to assist districts and schools in meeting student achievement goals. It also provides professional learning services to support a holistic approach to identifying, synthesizing, and disseminating research-based practices and emerging promising practices.
