WestEd’s June Bayha will give a keynote presentation at the fifth annual Conference on Multiple Pathways and Transitions. The conference will be held June 29-30, 2015, on the Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) Manukau Campus, Manukau City, Auckland New Zealand.

This year’s conference, Pathways, Transitions and Working Across Boundaries,” will focus on real-world examples and advice on how to create change and create better outcomes for learners in both secondary and postsecondary settings.

Sponsored by the Centre for Studies in Multiple Pathways and Ako Aotearoa, the conference will bring together a wide range of people who influence learners’ education to employment pathways, including teachers, policymakers, and industry leaders.

States the conference program: “Educators from different sectors and employers need to explore how best to work together, in order to effect seamless and successful pathways that promote both robust education and training and successful employment outcomes.”

Bayha will kick off the conference with her keynote presentation, “Pathways to Employment: From School to Workplace.” She will be joined by two other speakers for the final session, “Looking Forward.”

As Project Director for the Health & Justice Program at WestEd, June Bayha led the statewide evaluation of California’s Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways Initiative.
