Dr. Saroja Warner, Senior Director of Culturally Responsive Systems at WestEd, will join policy experts at the Women In Government Relations’ Remembering Brown: The Diversity Imperative 70 Years Later event on May 22, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
Honoring the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision, Women In Government Relations will host a keynote address that provides insight on the decision’s historical significance and its profound effect on generations of Black educators. It will also host panel discussions with students and educators on the need to diversify the educator workforce. During the educator panels, policy thought leaders will focus on the challenges and barriers to increasing the diversity of the educator workforce, and the levers for change at the state, federal, and local levels.
