Regional Comprehensive Centers
WestEd leads three Regional Comprehensive Centers (RCCs) that provide technical assistance and capacity-building services to state education agencies (SEAs), regional education agencies (REAs), local education agencies (LEAs), and the schools they serve to improve educational outcomes for all students, close achievement gaps, and improve the quality of instruction.
The RCCs collaborate with their educational partners to identify, implement, and sustain effective evidence-based practices that support improved educator and student outcomes. Their services include:
- needs-sensing to determine priority areas for state and local education agencies;
- identification of evidence-based practices to help states and districts address needs;
- planning to integrate evidence-based practices into agency policies, procedures, and programs; and
- support to implement and sustain new practices.
WestEd leads three RCCs:
- The Region 2 Comprehensive Center serves Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island.
- The Region 13 Comprehensive Center serves the Bureau of Indian Education, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
- The Region 15 Comprehensive Center serves Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.
