Register for Teacher Evaluation Systems: Lessons from New Implementations in New Hampshire and Pittsburgh.

Date: Wednesday, June 3, 2015
Time: 9-11:30am (Pacific Time)

Join the growing national conversation among policymakers, educators, and researchers on educator evaluation systems.

The focus of this webinar is two new studies supported by the Northeast Educator Effectiveness Research Alliance (NEERA) at Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Northeast & Islands and the Teacher Evaluation Research Alliance (TERA) at REL Mid-Atlantic.

The first is a study of a new pilot teacher evaluation system implemented in eight New Hampshire districts. The second examines three evaluation measures (professional practice, student surveys, and value-added) in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Representatives from the New Hampshire Department of Education and Pittsburgh Schools will comment on the findings, followed by a discussion of the role of research in informing practice in educator evaluation, including new avenues for future research.
