Jessica Arnold

Jessica Arnold is a Senior Project Director with WestEd’s Assessment for Learning team. She manages educator professional development efforts focused on aligning of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to improve teaching and learning. She is the author of Making the Most of Performance Tasks: Building Educator Assessment Literacy in Oregon.

Arnold also serves on the National Center for Systemic Improvement (NCSI) team at WestEd, managing implementation of NCSI’s cross-state learning collaborative model.

Prior to joining WestEd, Arnold worked for International Baccalaureate (IB), leading projects aimed at improving instruction and expanding participation and performance of underrepresented students in IB programs in the United States. She also served as a literacy specialist in New York City secondary schools for the Gateway Institute at the City University of New York.

Arnold received a BA from Vassar College and a master’s degree on risk and prevention from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
