Joseph McCrary, Associate Director of Research & Evaluation in WestEd’s Learning Innovations program, will present at the 2018 International Institute for Restorative Practices World Conference, October 24–26, in Detroit, Michigan.
“Strengthening the Spirit of Community” is the theme of this three-day event that will explore effective ways to build community, respond to conflict and harm, and enhance the well-being of neighborhoods, organizations, families, and individuals — through the lens of restorative practices and allied approaches.
McCrary directs WestEd’s Atlanta Public Schools Comprehensive School Safety Initiative. The Initiative, in partnership with Georgia State University and Atlanta Public Schools, is researching and developing a method to enhance school safety.
The session, Social-Emotional Learning, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports, and Restorative Practices in Atlanta Public Schools, will be held on October 24, from 10:50am to 11:40 am.
