Prudence Harris-Minton is a Professional Learning Designer and Coach with Educational Leadership. She specializes in leadership coaching and professional development for educational leaders.
Harris-Minton collaborates with schools, school districts, and state education agencies across the nation to enhance leadership practices that directly impact student outcomes. In this capacity, she delivers executive coaching and tailors professional learning experiences for school districts and school-building leaders nationwide, fostering their growth and development as effective, culturally responsive leaders within their communities.
Her support extends to guiding school districts in the effective implementation of curriculum, instructional frameworks, and equitable policies. She oversees projects and shares strategic insights, addressing critical gaps and challenges within educational ecosystems.
Before joining WestEd, Harris-Minton’s diverse professional journey included multifaceted leadership roles like co-founding and serving as the Chief Academic Officer for a Pre-K to 12 charter school network with multiple campuses in Newark, New Jersey and serving as a principal mentor for the state of New Jersey, where she guided emerging school leaders through leadership simulations and action research projects.
Harris-Minton holds a BA in economics from Spelman College, an MA in math education from Brooklyn College, an MEd in educational leadership from Columbia University’s Teachers College, and an EdD from the University of Pennsylvania.
