How do California’s educators ensure every child in the state’s diverse student population, including students with disabilities, achieves the new Common Core State Standards for English language arts and literacy?
This free six-hour online professional development module guides educators through the process of using a comprehensive framework to create systemic support systems that address barriers to opportunity and success for all learners.
This module can be used by educators independently or as part of in-person training and is divided into four units:
- What is a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS)
- Data-based decision making
- Instructional planning and supports
- Leadership and implementation of MTSS
This module is a collaborative effort between the Center for Prevention and Early Intervention at WestEd and the California Department of Education Special Education and Professional Learning Supports divisions.
