Positive Solutions for Families: Facilitator Training

WestEd, in collaboration with First 5 Los Angeles, is hosting a two-day workshop designed to help trainers work with families to:
- Promote young children’s social and emotional skills
- Understand their problem behavior
- Use positive approaches to teach them appropriate behavior
Who Will Benefit
People who work with families, provide parent education, and/or facilitate parent groups will benefit from this training based on evidence-based practices.
Day 1 Training
Trainers will be given an overview of the Collaborative on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) Teaching Pyramid Training Modules.
Day 2 Training
Trainers will practice their facilitation skills, focusing on one of four target audiences: children and families needing trauma-informed care; family members of children with disabilities; Head Start and Early Head Start; or parents and family members with different-aged children.
